He is R.I.S.E.N!

On behalf of the National Sisterhood, Happy Easter, my beautiful sisters! For those who celebrate Easter today or later (I see you, my Eastern Orthodox sisters), I wanted to share some thoughts of our wonderful Savior with you, to remind you of His goodness and grace as we celebrate His resurrection and the new life He brings! Jesus Christ is: R - reconciliation. Jesus has made it possible for all of those who call upon Him in earnest to be restored to God. (Romans 10:13; 2 Corinthians 5:18-19; 1 Peter 3:18) I - immanent. God is both a participant in all of His creation as well as distinct from it. "Immanuel" is this immanent God with us, and through Jesus we have the Word made flesh for His ultimate glory and for our salvation! (Ephesians 4:6; Psalm 139:2; John 1:14) S - sacrifice. Never take for granted His own knowledge of His self-sacrifical love for you and me. If we weren't worth saving, He wouldn't have surrendered to walk the darkest path to a humiliating, pai

The Power of Christ in Your Life

Matthew 7:7-8 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." But we’re not that far off. Every week, we worship with believers. We beli

Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? an any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek fir
